  • I loved this restaurant!! My first time to come & the food was excellent. Try the truffle fries! They were delicious! Most everything was fantastic! The ribeye, pork chop, & fish, excellent choices! (the lemon caper pasta is nothing special. Very plain very buttery)

  • Unimposing facade leads into a lovely dining area. You cannot park directly out front, so parking is available wherever you find it. We were seated promptly and received excellent service. Lunch menu includes salads, sandwiches, appetizers, and entrees like chicken fried steak. Beer and wine choices are numerous. I enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich plate, which was scrumptious. Others enjoyed the crab cakes and grilled shrimp appetizers. Rave reviews for them both. We enjoyed our meals so much we went out of our way to tell the manager...! Dessert is available. Prices are very reasonable and we would love to return for dinner.

  • The BEST Chicken Fried Steak ( regular, not the upgrade choice) I’ve ever eaten…perfectly seasoned and crispy, along with the Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Mushrooms. Others at our table of 3 had Baked Rigatoni alla Vodka, Shrimp and Grits….ALL good. The warm bread and butter on arrival was a treat, along with my glass of Saint Tryphon Albariño wine. The 3 of us split a very generous serving of a delicious Pumpkin Bread Pudding, perfect for Fall and not over whelming with pumpkin, just perfect! A beautiful restaurant and one of the nicest dining experience you can have…..because we could all talk and hear each other, unlike many places where the music makes it impossible to visit. Aysa, our server, was delightful and we highly recommend Uptown Blanco for a pleasurable evening with great food, service and ambiance. We will be back! And OH! I forgot to mention their Tartar Sauce is addicting…..I took an appetizer of Fried Oysters home to a family member, and I would buy the Tartar Sauce in a container if they sold it that way, had quite a “ zing” to it, not hot pepper, just VERY tasty. This chef really knows how to season !

  • Stopped in for their Sip & Stroll & Halloween menu - such a treat! I had the risotto with chicken, butternut squash, and pumpkin...so good and full of cozy fall flavors. I'm a total sucker for anything pumpkin. Someone else at the table had the salmon and it was also perfectly cooked and fabulous presentation of the entrees. Aysa served our table and was absolutely amazing, and Rachel the manager, was such a sweetheart. The whole team was wonderful, and the chef even stopped by our table to say hello — such a thoughtful touch (I loved that)! And the live music a lovely addition! Good food, good wine, and that small-town charm that makes this place so special. Can’t wait to come back!

  • What a gem in this small Texas town! Everything was enjoyable from the beautiful decor, cloth tablecloths, food and service. We visited during the town’s Lavender festival so the menu incorporated lavender in some of their menu offerings. I had the Lavender Chicken Salad Sandwich served with kettle chips and a lavender lemonade…it was quite delicious! I think the menu was specific for this weekend..

  • This was our first time there and the food was excellent and service on par with better restaurants in the area. Prices are a little bit on the high side but the food is good. Very cool interior decor and the story about the restaurant is equally cool. We will definitely return and try some of the other dishes

  • I’m in the middle of my meal and had to stop to thank this resteraunt for the best polenta I have ever tasted in my life. An absurd gem in blanco that is still delivering amazing food to this day.
